Every spring Patterson Place
and Kumler Chapel figure prominently in the Western
Program's graduation festivities. Seniors attend a
champagne reception on the Patterson porch after their
graduation rehearsal on Friday. Their graduation ceremony
is held in Kumler on Saturday night. Western
College
traditions and WCAA awards also have a part in both
events.

Renovation
was necessary to update building materials for roofing and
windows, as well as to expand the space for the music
department -- not to mention, paint was peeling, the roof
was leaking, and there were animals in the attic! |

| Built
in 1930, "award-worthy and historic" Presser
Hall posed challenges for the construction firm in charge,
but renovation was completed and the dedication --
complete with ribbon-cutting -- took place October 23 in
an event called "Presser Palooza."

Western Spirit" by classmates, wears the honorary
Western academic regalia (donated by Betty Ann Koons
Miller '32) at Miami's commencement. An
added touch this year: WESTERN
stoles, which some WCP grads further customized.
