Miami's Black History Celebration, Janet
Stephens Smith-Dickerson '65 will give an address
entitled "My Giant Goes with Me: Reflections on
Identity, Citizenship, the
Oxford
'Bubble' and the Relevance of an Intercultural
Education" at the Shriver Center, February 10. Janet is currently Vice President for
Campus Life, Princeton University. Sponsors of the event are the Office of Diversity
Affairs, Miami University Libraries, Western College
Alumnae Association, and the Western College Memorial
Archives. |

March 24, moderated by the MU Women's Studies Program, a
panel of male alumni will talk in the Great Room of the
Center for American and World Cultures about their experiences as
the first men
enrolled at Western
College. The discussion will be recorded and placed on
the Archives website, along with the women’s panel taped last
April and other oral
histories. |
