Weekend activities.
Reunion Weekend 2006 was a truly Western gathering!
Over 175 alums, family and friends came together on
the Western campus and experienced the strength of
the Western spirit ... during fun times and work
times ... remembering the past, discussing the
future and celebrating the present. In 1888, Helen
Peabody asked her alumnae, "Has the anchor held in
the storm?" In 2006, 118 years later, a resounding
answer was given by the silver anniversary class of
1981 when they concluded their toast with these
words ... "The anchor is still holding."
REUNION GIFT
The 2006 Reunion Gift is for the Community Life
Fund, supporting programs and events that promote
community among students, alumni and friends ...
both on campus and beyond. Our goal is $30,000; by
the Saturday banquet, over $20,000 had been given.
If you wish to support this fund, go to Miami's
secure
giving site, complete the necessary information
and scroll down to the box marked Western College
Alumnae Association. There you may enter your gift
amount and type 2006 Reunion Gift in the specific
requests box. As always, we are grateful for your
support!
The WCAA invites
Westerners one and all to return to the fold next
June, third weekend. The focus of next year's
reunion will be Western Around the World. We
encourage all international students who attended
Western to make plans now to return and re-une with
one other and all other Westerners!
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL JUNE 15-17, 2007!
