"Western Around the World"
drew nearly
150 enthusiastic Western
College and Western
College Program alums and guests back to the Western
campus for a weekend full of activities - both
traditional (the parade and awards banquet)
and innovative (a panel discussion with
international alumnae and slide show of summer
travel seminars).
In keeping with the global theme, flags of many
countries flew alongside class flags; ethnic menus
featured foods from Asia, Africa, Latin America and
the Middle East; and alumnae from
14
countries returned to join the fun in person.
REUNION GIFT
The 2007 Reunion Gift creates a new International
Scholarship, designed to honor the heritage of the
Western College by helping students with merit and
need from countries outside the USA come to campus
to study for four years. The goal is $100,000.
