The WCAA has three
different giving funds for which support is sought
each year.

What
is a Gift to the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is the Association's yearly program that
seeks gifts to support the annual mission of the Western
College Alumnae Association: to preserve
communication within the Western family and to support
education and human values. It includes
support of the Bulletin, reunions, and annual
scholarships. Must
I designate my Annual Fund gift? No.
If you leave your gift
unrestricted, it will be used for programs with the most
need.
Can I designate my Annual Fund gift?
Yes. The program for which we are especially seeking
support in 2009 is:
Publication of the 35th Anniversary
history, Time Present, Time Past Addendum III
What is a Class/Reunion
Gift?
Formerly called a Class Gift, a Reunion Gift is
separate from a gift the to Annual
Fund. It seeks support each year for the
Reunion Project, a new project that can only be made
possible by combining Reunion Gifts from ALL classes.
Examples of past Reunion Projects are The Phyllis Hoyt
Peabody Scholarship, the Alumnae Hall Memorial and the
Trustees Scholarship. To learn what the Reunion
Project is for this year, go to the reunion
page.
What is a Gift
to an Endowment?
It, also, is separate from a
gift to the Annual Fund and from a gift to the Class
Gift/Reunion Project. It supports one of our endowment
funds. Endowments are set up
to provide long-term support. At the request of
the WCAA Board of Trustees, your endowment funds are
invested in the Miami University Foundation.
To learn about how to make an endowment gift and/or
create a named fund,
please contact Judy
Waldron.
What
planned giving options are available?
The WCAA is pleased to offer a wide variety of planned
giving opportunities ... the same as those offered by Miami
University. For more information about
providing a planned gift in support of the WCAA, please
contact Judy
Waldron.
Alumnae/i who include the WCAA in their deferred giving
plans are eligible for membership in the Narka
Nelson Circle.
Will I
receive recognition?
All contributors are listed in the Annual Report
in the Spring edition of The Bulletin.
Annual leadership gifts are specially recognized through
the following gift clubs:
Peabody
Society
$1000 and above annually
McKee
Circle
$500-$999 annually
Clawson
Club
$250-$499 annually
Century
Club
$100-$249 annually
Can my gift to
the WCAA be matched? Yes. Many employers sponsor matching
gift programs that can double or triple a contribution
to the WCAA. Request a form from your personnel or
public affairs
office, and send it to us with your contribution. If you
are unable to obtain a form from where you work or have
questions, please contact Kaye
Wolke, the WCAA Inc, 325 S. Patterson Avenue,
Oxford, OH 45056, (513) 529-2630.
Does a match affect my giving club?
Yes. Your gift
plus the amount of the match determines your giving
club.
