Classroom IT Support Guidance – As you may know, academic units and IT Services have been working hard to improve support processes across Miami. Information about the IT support model and the role of First Responders (FRs) who handle your requests for assistance can be found here.  Please be aware that in an effort to address classroom issues as quickly as possible, if you have submitted a request for assistance, FRs will assume you have given permission to enter the classroom even while the class is in session, so the technician may enter at that time. Please note, though, that the technician will be mindful of the importance to not distract a class that is in progress--and if he/she deems more disruptive work is necessary, it will be scheduled for a more appropriate time.

Reminders:

  • Global Miami Plan (GMP) courses for the 2018-2019 academic year deadline to propose is April 29th. Information  and directions to submit proposals can be found at the Office of Liberal Education website.
  • The 25th annual Undergraduate Research Forum  is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 (panel discussions) and Wednesday, April 24 (student poster sessions)  Shriver Center.
  • Miami’s annual Access for All: Accessible Technology Symposium is Friday, April 19 (program begins at 8:30 am) Shriver Center.  A schedule and link to register can be found here.

Until next week,

Phyllis
