ART 259 Art and Digital Tools I (3)

A hands-on tour of ways in which computers can become creative tools for making art. Projects will familiarize students with video art, digital photo manipulation, electronics, computer programming and digital fabrication. An emphasis is placed on experimentation and developing personal creative process, as well as considering how digital tools integrate with hands-on techniques.

Prerequisite: working knowledge of both the Macintosh or PC computer and some exposure to any desktop publishing or computer graphics software. Cross-listed with IMS.
