French- Bachelor of Arts

Teacher Licensure

Students who wish to combine teacher licensure with an Arts and Science major must observe the rules, procedures, and restrictions pertaining to admission to a licensure cohort as outlined in the School of Education, Health and Society chapter. Program Requirements

(30 semester hours)

  • After taking FRE 301 (3), take six hours of FRE 302, 303, or 310, in no particular sequence. Of the remaining 21 hours, take 18 hours at 400 level, including the required three-hour senior seminar (FRE 410). No more than three hours in translation count toward this major. FRE 361 Pronunciation does not count toward this major.

Students seeking the Bachelor of Arts in French meet the College of Arts and Science writing in the major requirement by completing the following course/s: FRE 301; six hours from FRE 302, 303, or 310, in no particular sequence; and 410.
