NSG 492/592 Emotional and Behavioral Problems of Children and Adolescents (3)

In this course the experiences of emotional and behavioral problems of children and adolescents are examined from multiple perspectives. The perspective of the child/adolescent as well as the child’s family members and significant others in the environment, especially the school environment, are emphasized. Professional perspectives related to primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention are critically examined. Factors that enhance resilience to commonly occurring stressors experienced in childhood and adolescence are explored. (Elective for BSN and RN-BSN programs).
