This minor exposes students to the field of plant biotechnology and related areas, including the tools and methods used to manipulate living organisms, as well as the ethical and social implications of these technologies. Courses used for this minor cannot be used for the minor in Plant Biology or Horticulture, except for BIO 115, 116, or 191. A minimum 2.00 GPA is required for all courses in the minor; no courses for the minor may be taken credit/no-credit. Advanced courses must represent at least 10 hours of the total 18, but only 10 credit hours in this minor can count toward the A.B. or B.S. in Botany or Biology.
