Curriculum and Courses

Psychology majors at Miami receive sound liberal arts training, which is good preparation for many different careers or areas of graduate study. The core curriculum surveys the methods and findings of a variety of areas in psychology. You may individualize your program by choosing courses that are especially recommended for your career goals. This flexibility provides excellent training for careers in mental health, school psychology, social work, parole/probation, business, industry, civil service, government, and personnel work.
