This minor is for students who are preparing for a possible career as an actuary. The extensive prerequisites for the minor reflect the fact that most students in this program will have a major in mathematics and statistics. Eligibility

A minimum 2.0 g.p.a. is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). This minor satisfies the Thematic Sequence requirement of the Global Miami Plan for students majoring in Mathematics and/or Statistics. Students planning to take this minor should consult with the chief departmental adviser.
