Geology

This minor is popular with many science and non-science majors alike. With today's emphasis on the environment and the impact human beings have upon it, the geology minor is especially appropriate. The minor covers many basic concepts about earth science and highlights environmental, societal, and geological concerns.

A minimum g.p.a. of 2.25 is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Courses must be selected observing all prerequisites. Substitutions may be made with approval of the department. Students planning to take this minor should consult with the chief departmental adviser. This minor is not available to students majoring in Geology or Earth Science Education.
