Inequalities and Social Justice
(18 semester hours)
This minor offers a sociologically based foundation of knowledge and skills to examine the essential connections between social values, structured inequalities, and social change. Elective courses address a range of inequalities including those based on race/ethnicity, class, gender, age, sexualities and disabilities.
A minimum overall g.p.a. of 2.5 is required for this minor. With the exception of the fieldwork, courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the chief departmental adviser.
