Oxford

Along the sidewalk in uptown Oxford

Is Oxford really a typical college town, like everyone says?

In many ways, yes. The university is the largest employer in town, and the size of Oxford nearly triples when the students return in the fall. Oxford has a lot of trees, red brick streets, pizza places, coffee shops, and bookstores, just like most college towns. At the same time, Oxford is near the metropolitan areas of Cincinnati and Dayton. Cultural offerings from these cities often come to campus, and students frequently take road trips to the cities.

What transportation services are available?

How about getting around town?

A lot of students bring bikes. But since the town borders the campus, you can get around fine by walking. Or you can ride the Miami Metro bus service, which runs regular routes on campus and in Oxford.

Can I bring a car?

For answers about bringing a car to campus, see Parking Permits or call Parking and Transpoortation Services at 513-529-8535.
