Originally from Ohio, I have been a long way from home for quite awhile. After receiving my B.A. in French from Colby College (Waterville, Maine) and my M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University (New York), I traveled and lived around the world: India, Prague, Singapore, Spain, and many other countries. In college, I never could have realized how two study abroad trips to France would influence my love of travel and my willingness to live just about anywhere! I say that because I arrived in Oxford from my most recent four year journey in Anchorage, Alaska. When I first visited Miami University I was working as a news reporter in Cincinnati. I remember thinking, "This would be an incredible place to work, live and raise a family." Now that I've found my way back to the Midwest, I feel honored to be a part of such a dedicated Admission staff. I work on the Events and Planning team, helping to organize fall and spring receptions and Miami weekend visits.
Favorite Miami Moment
My early morning runs around Oxford as the campus is just waking up. The streets are mostly quiet except for the sound of bells in the distance. My runs in this town are quite different from in Alaska: here I see deer; there, I saw moose!
