Guaranteed Admission
In order to qualify for admission to Miami, a Junior Scholar must meet the following requirements.
Domestic Students
- The student must complete at least 6 credit hours in the Junior Scholars Program.
- The student must remain in good disciplinary standing while in the Junior Scholars Program.
- The student must obtain a GPA of at least 3.0 in the Junior Scholars Program with no course grade below B-.
- The student must graduate from high school and maintain the same high level of performance that warranted admission to the Junior Scholars Program.
- The student must attain an ACT of at least 24 or SAT of at least 1090.
- The student must apply for admission to Miami University.
International Students
- The student must complete at least 6 credit hours in the Junior Scholars Program.
- The student must remain in good disciplinary standing while in the Junior Scholars Program.
- The student must obtain a GPA of at least 3.0 in the Junior Scholars Program with no course grade below B-.
- The student must graduate from secondary school and maintain the same high level of performance that warranted admission to the Junior Scholars Program.
- The student must submit a final secondary school transcript that demonstrates that he or she has successfully completed her or his secondary school coursework and standards.
- The student must attain one of the following: an ACT of at least 24 with an ACT reading sub score of at least 21; an equivalent SAT with an SAT CR of at least 500; or a minimum TOEFL score of 80; or an IELTS score of 6.5.
- The student must apply for admission to Miami University by the February 1 application deadline.
- The student must provide proof of "Financial Responsibility" as indicated by the International Student Financial Statement Form (submitted with application for admission).
