Students pursuing the following majors are required to submit a portfolio and/or schedule an audition by the application deadline: architecture, interior design, art, art education, graphic design, music, music education, music performance, and theatre. University Honors Program
Miami University's Honors Program provides a number of unique opportunities for high-ability students. To apply for the Program, you must submit the University Honors essay on the Miami Supplement to the Common Application along with an official transcript from each institution you have attended directly to the Honors Program Office. To be considered for Honors admission, transfer applicants must have earned a 3.5 cumulative g.p.a. and at least 15 but fewer than 45 credit hours at their previous institution(s).
To maximize your financial aid eligibility, we encourage you to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. By completing this application, you will be applying for all federal, state, and University financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans, and federal work-study.
Miami Transfer Scholarships*
New domestic transfer students admitted either fall or spring semester will be considered for merit and need-based scholarships opportunities. Eligibility is determined at the time of admission. A student must have submitted the FAFSA to be considered for need-based scholarships. Students not meeting the transfer application deadline will be considered for scholarships on a case-by-case basis. Students enrolling less than full time, attending the regional campuses, or who have a previous bachelor's degree are not eligible.
