Creative Arts Scholars

This program fosters an interdisciplinary community centered on creativity and embracing a culture of innovation and change through the arts. Creative Arts Scholars have an opportunity to:

  • Join the College of Creative Arts (CCA) Dean’s Student Advisory Council.
  • Engage in special seminars and receptions with visiting artists, performers, and designers.
  • Attend exhibition previews at the Miami Art Museum and special Performing Arts Series events.
  • Visit art museums and galleries, attend theatre productions and concerts, visit artists’ studios and architecture and interior design firms, and meet Miami alumni in a funded CCA arts weekend.
  • Participate in a career exploration trip each spring semester.
  • Explore elements of their chosen field with the mentorship of practicing Miami alumni.

To be considered for the Creative Arts Scholars Program, you must first apply to Miami University via the Common Application and indicate interest in applying to the University Academic Scholars Program.
