Miami University Recreation offers a youth gymnastics program for children ages 2+ at Sawyer Hall. Each class has an experienced instructor that is background-checked and maintains certifications in gymnastics safety and CPR/first-aid.

Aquatic Facility

Looking for great activities to celebrate a birthday or have a friendly gathering? Here at the Miami Recreational Sports Center, we have many options for such events. We have facilities that include three pools, a climbing wall, a racquetball court, and four courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton, and soccer. We also have reservable rooms that can be used as a gathering space, based on availability. For the "General Admission Daily Pass Discount," a group of 10 or more is eligible for $6 per person, allowing access to the pools and gymnasium.

The Miami University Equestrian Center offers community riding lessons to riders of all levels in Hunt Seat, Western, and Dressage. Lessons are taught on Miami horses by our experienced staff. All riders must be 8 years or older.

Activities are designed to help campers become more independent, enhance self-confidence, and develop mind and body in a fun and safe learning environment. This camp takes place at the Miami Rec Center.

Miami Equestrian offers summer riding camps tailored to those with no previous riding experience as well as those actively competing with aspirations of riding on a college team. We welcome all levels of riders in three disciplines: hunt seat, western and dressage ages 8–18.

Miami’s Outdoor Pursuit Center will provide this group an ACTIVE outdoor experience that will allow them to learn and practice outdoor living skills and natural exploration.

OP Camp Pic

The Youth Climbing Camp, hosted by the Outdoor Pursuit Center, is an opportunity for children to push their limits and reach new heights through indoor and outdoor climbing. The full day camp will culminate with a trip to climb outside at John Bryan State Park on Friday. Climbing lessons may include (but aren’t limited to) learning climbing lingo, knot tying, movement skill development, belaying, bouldering on the 12 ft. boulder wall, and top-roping and auto-belaying on the 40 ft. main wall.

New this year, Esports Day camp is focused on teaching the fundamentals of esports. We’ll discuss building good habits outside of the game, build up our scores with 3D Aim Trainer, and get in plenty of playtime with a variety of video games (Roblox, Rocket League, Fall Guys, Minecraft, Fortnite). Esports Camp introduces campers to building a common community through teamwork. Participants should look
to bring their own USB compatible video game controllers (Xbox, Playstation, or Switch Pro controllers should all work).

Time: 9:30am - 4:30pm
Ages: 8-14
Price: $250
Dates (2 Sessions): July 10-14, July 24-28

By focusing on key areas such as speed, balance, agility, strength, injury prevention, and conditioning, participants will not only improve their overall athletic performance but also reduce their risk of injury.
