FIT Workshops and Special Events

We offer more than 80 different group fitness classes per week during the academic year including: Spinning®, Indo-Row®, Yoga, TRX Suspension Training, Zumba®, and more! Classes are first come first serve, with admittance beginning 10 minutes before start of class time.

Interested in becoming a Group Fitness Instructor or hosting a private group fitness class for your department or organization? Youth Ballet (Winter/Spring 2019)


Youth Ballet Workshop

Ballet is a fun way for children to be active, improve their balance, and start to understand how their bodies relate to music. Youth Ballet will focus on the fundamentals of ballet by helping students develop strength, correct body alignment, and the beginning of musicality. With a strong emphasis on technique, students 5–10 years old will be introduced to foundational barre and floor exercises and the beginning of choreography. Instruction will be tailored to the experience and skill level of each dancer. No previous ballet experience is necessary.

In this workshop, you will learn the routines classical ballet dancers do every day to develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Designed for those new to ballet for beginners, we will focus on the fundamentals of technique in a safe and supportive environment. Those with more dance experience are welcome to use the class to improve their technique.

Fundamentals of Yoga is a welcoming class for newcomers to yoga and those seeking a refresher or slower pace. Participants will learn and build confidence in fundamental breathing, poses, safe alignment, and ways to modify for your needs. Spend 60 minutes taking time for yourself to better prepare you for the yoga classes offered on the regular Group Fitness schedule

Restorative Yoga (Spring 2019)


Restorative Yoga

Allow yourself to relax and restore your body and mind. Join in this special class dedicated to restoring your body. An instructor will guide you through yoga poses supported by blankets and props to facilitate deep relaxation. If you have a yoga bolster, please bring it.

Aromatherapy Yoga



This aromatherapy workshop, featuring the scents of lavender and peppermint, incorporates yoga practice with infused essential oils. The style of yoga will include a gentle Vinyasa flow to afford a slower-paced experience of the of oils, coordinated with the movement and breath.

Barre Above® Certification


The Barre Above® certification will teach you everything you need to implement a successful barre program anywhere - whether you teach at a gym, studio, health club, or university. Fusing the worlds of pilates, yoga, aerobics, and elements of the strengthening exercises dancers do, Barre Above delivers a results-driven workout that will sculpt your students' bodies, get them into amazing shape, and have them coming back for more. As a Barre Above® instructor, you'll learn the correct way to teach barre that is fun and totally unique for your students. You'll also learn how to structure an effective barre workout that meets all your students' needs, whether you're teaching on a barre or off one. You'll learn barre specific cueing, so that your students will feel empowered, motivated, and have the ability to progress.Admittance to 8-hr Live In-Person Barre above™ Instructor Certification with Master Trainer. MOVE Bootcamp


MOVE stands for Miami & Oxford Value Exercise because we do! This community event is free to everyone in Oxford. The Crawford's are opening up their home, and we’re bootcamp on the MOVE. Bring a water bottle and a positive attitude to different locations on the designated dates and times for a free outdoor bootcamp workout. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes because we will be getting dirty!
