Research Interests

Development, testing and refinement of education and training modules related to death and dying in long-term care facilities, qualitative research regarding hospice care and end-of-life decision-making.

Biographical Sketch

Kimberly Ogle, PhD, is a certified Thanatologist and Death Doula. She has more than twenty years in the funeral service industry as a funeral director, manager, and owner. In addition, she has interviewed older adults in hospice care and initiated focus groups about end-of-life with STNAs at long-term care facilities. Dr. Ogle is presently co-developing certification and continuing education workshops on death and dying for BSNs and other health care professionals.
