Poet Gary Glazner and the Alzheimer’s Poetry Project have been gaining attention recently. Glazner uses group poetry sessions to stimulate the minds of older adults with dementia. Dr. Kate de Medeiros, Miami University faculty and Scripps research fellow, has teamed up with Glazner to study the effects of his poetry sessions on those with dementia.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) recently did a piece on the Alzheimer’s Poetry Project and Dr. de Medeiros’ research collaboration with the project.
