The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Miami University is a Ph.D.-granting department comprised of 28 full time faculty and more than 65 graduate students. Miami University enrolls approximately 16,000 undergraduates, with about 300 undergraduate majors in Chemistry & Biochemistry. In addition to Ph.D. and M.S. degrees, the Department offers B.S. and B.A. degrees in Chemistry and in Biochemistry. The Chemistry department has exceptional instrumentation: high field NMR (600 and 850 MHz) and EPR facilities, and we have hired five new faculty members over the last five years in the department.
