ROR and Waitlist Information

Wanting to request a seat in a CHM course for the spring? The CHM department is using two methods for students to get into a currently closed course. The first is the Registration Override Request (ROR) system; this is the new force-add process the university is piloting.

The courses using ROR are: CHM 255-780

To submit your registration override request use the course list.

1. Log in (top right-hand corner of page) using your unique ID and myMiami password

2. Find the course you want to force-add

3. Select Submit Registration Override Request

  • Rank the sections you are willing to accept (in order of preference)
  • Provide a reason for the request

4. Select Submit

  • You will receive a confirmation email that the request was received.

Requests will not be reviewed until after Open Registration has begun on November 19, 2018. You will receive an email when a decision has been made.

Note:

• Additional instructions are at the top of the course list page- click on the “?”
• If you do not see the Submit Registration Override Request option for a participating course, please call One Stop at 513-529-0001 for further assistance

The second system is the Bannerweb Waitlist. For more information on waitlisting, please consult the One Stop’s website; this includes step-by-step instructions for how to add yourself to a waitlist for a specific course.

Timeline for review and action on ROR requests

Timelines for review and action on requests vary across departments.

  • Until your request is reviewed and acted upon, it will remain in a pending status. You may edit or delete pending requests until the request submission deadline.
  • You will receive an email notification whenever actions are taken on your request (submission, editing, deletion, approval or denial).
To check the status of your request at any time, log in to the Course List and click Requests. Do not call the department.
