Dr. Duffy leads panel on interfaith collaboration

On November 4, the Ford Family Initiative for Spirituality, Meaning, and Purpose will host a panel discussion, "Interfaith Collaboration...What's the Catch?" The panel is one in a series of follow-up events to the October 27-28 campus visit of Eboo Patel, founder of Interfaith Youth Core. John-Charles Duffy, lecturer in the Department of Comparative Religion, is organizing and facilitating this panel.

Dr. Duffy will lead the panelists, representing local religious or philosophical organizations, in a frank conversation about boundaries, agendas, and other potential concerns that different participants may bring to interfaith collaborations. Dr. Duffy's research in the field of American religions includes study of interfaith initiatives developed in the past few decades by religious conservatives, who have a history of caution toward interfaith dialogue.

The panel will be held Wednesday, November 4, 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the Wiikiaami Room (2042 Armstrong).
