Guest speaker Robin Judd on Jewish war brides and American GIs

Robin JuddThe Department of Comparative Religion is co-sponsoring a guest speaker for the Jewish Studies Program: Robin Judd, associate professor of history at Ohio State University. Her address is titled, "Love at the Zero Hour: Jewish War Brides, GI Husbands, and European Strategies for Reconstruction, 1945-1950."

A specialist in European and Jewish history, Dr. Judd is the author of Contested Rituals: Circumcision, Kosher Butchering, and German-Jewish Political Life in Germany, 1843-1933 (Cornell University Press, 2007). Her talk will be held on Monday, October 19, 4:00 p.m., in Shriver Center Dolibois Room C.
