Living in London

Hampden HouseWe provide a very high standard of independent apartment living in upscale central London neighborhoods. You will truly become a Londoner in 6 weeks, living in an exciting cosmopolitan city with all of the city’s rich resources right at your doorstep instead of some distance away. Fully equipped flats are for 2-5 Miami students—just bring your suitcase!

  • Flats are equipped with private bath, kitchen, TV, and internet. Many flats have had in-unit washers. Enjoy private apartments, not dorms or hotels.
  • Convenient central neighborhoods include Marylebone/Baker St flats, near beautiful Regent’s Park and its rose gardens (photos here); Queensway, across from Hyde Park, near Notting Hill; Kensington, in the Royal Borough of Chelsea and Kensington; and Baker's Row, in trendy Clerkenwell. See photos here taken by fellow Miami students!
  • Equipped kitchen facilities allow you to save money and avoid set meal plans. London has fantastic culinary options for all budgets and often far better quality of food and great small chains (many familiar US ones too).
  • What should you budget? We recommend your standard weekly food budget and then multiply by 1.45 (or current exchange rate). You can expect London prices to be similar to NYC’s allowing for the exchange rate.
For instance, a cup of regular coffee might be £1.20 x 1.45 = about 1.75.
