  • Lisa Skaredoff Doyle (ENG/JRN '03) is now the communications manager of Bridge Communities, a nonprofit organization that houses and mentors homeless families in the Chicago area. Additionally, her first novel, Milked, was published by Simon and Fig in 2014. www.simonandfig.com/milked.
  • Ryan Stouffer (COM '04) completed his doctorate degree at Wayne State University and is an assistant professor of digital media at Longwood University. He is teaching journalism as well as digital design, media & society, and media production.
  • Leah Rupp Smith (JRN '06) is an attorney in Jackson, Mississippi, clerking for the Honorable Leslie H. Southwick on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. The Fifth Circuit covers Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, and is based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
  • Christopher Washington (JRN '09) is a career services associate at the Columbus College of Art & Design .
  • Amanda (Seitz) Schmidt (JRN '12) is not the digital government and politics reporter for WCPO 9 On Your Side’s digital team in Cincinnati. She covers everything form city hall to the presidential election.
  • Amanda Harr (JRN '13) was accepted in the Teach in Thailand program and was placed at Rajamangala University of Technology in Thanyaburi, Thailand (about an hour outside of Bangkok). She will be co-teaching several English classes, including essay writing and conversational English, as well as a couple extracurricular activities, including English camp and a writing clinic.
  • Jenn Smola (JRN '14) was hired by the Columbus Dispatch to cover Licking County. After graduation, Smola worked for the Associated Press in Columbus.
  • Lacey Mendenhall (JRN '14) is working as an associate producer on the health-lifestyle magazine show "Living Dayton" produced by WDTN TV.
  • Sally Stearns (JRN '14) has a position as Jr. Content Strategist at Hanson Inc., located in Maumee, Ohio. www.hansoninc.com.
  • Tom Downey (JRN '15) is working as a staff writer for Chat Sports, a Sports Media Website based out of San Francisco. Downing covers the NFL, NBA, College Football, MLB and everything in between for Chat Sports. He interned with the company during his time at Miami and joined the small full-time staff not long after graduating. Downey is part of the content team, churning out breaking news and analysis to pair with the site's curated newsfeed. All of his work can be found on the Chat Sports iPhone app, with an Android version set to launch in the coming weeks.
  • Mekenna Sandstrom (JRN '15) is an associate producer at WCMH-TV (NBC4) in Columbus, Ohio.
