Bob BatchelorBob Batchelor is a cultural historian and biographer who has written or edited more than 25 books on American literature and culture, including books about John Updike, Bob Dylan, the 1980s, The Great Gatsby, and Mad Men. His latest book is Stan Lee: The Man Behind Marvel (2017). He has also published more than 50 articles or chapters on contemporary literature and popular culture. Bob spent a decade working in corporate communications for a number of large companies, including Ernst & Young, Fleishman-Hillard and Bank of America, as well as The History Factory, where he served as senior historian. He is an internal communications specialist, focusing on executive communications and technology. Bob served as senior writer on the 2001 PRSA Silver Anvil winning team in B2B Marketing for Documentum (now part of EMC). He consults with organizations on strategic communications, storytelling, and heritage management. His classes have conducted service learning marketing campaigns for organizations ranging from non-profits to corporations and startups.
