Hugo Rios-Cordero

Ríos-Cordero earned his doctorate degree from Rutgers University, N.J. in Comparative Literature with a certificate on Cinema Studies and a master’s degree in English Education from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. He teaches courses in film history, diversity in American film, Film Noir, Silent Film and World Cinema. His areas of interest are film historiography, cinephilia, world cinema history, and videographic criticism. He is the author of three books published in Spanish: two short story anthologies and a poetry collection. He is currently working on a book about Pablo Larrain and also on video essays about French Cinema of the German Occupation.
