Joe SampsonJoe Sampson began teaching multimedia journalism at his alma mater in August, 2001. During the 2012-13 academic year he served on the faculty at Washington State University. His students have received national and regional journalism awards for their work in and out of the classroom. Prior to teaching, Sampson spent 12 years working in the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, markets as a television news reporter, producer and manager. He has also worked in radio and print journalism in SW Ohio. Sampson earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Miami University in 1994 and a master’s degree in Humanities from Xavier University in 2005. His family – wife, Alison (a Miami grad), and two children, Maggie and Andrew - live in Cincinnati.
