I am currently teaching introductory level physics courses. My teaching interests lie in the realm of inquiry. I believe that students are more likely to internalize concepts when performing a hands-on activity compared to a traditional lecture. Through these inquiry methods I hope to show students how physics influences their daily lives and possible career interests.

I am a faculty member of the Macklin Quantum Information Sciences (MQuIS)Group at Miami. MQuIS is a node (member) of the internationally renowned Southwestern Quantum Information and Technology (SQuInT) network.

My interests outside of teaching include spending time with my wife and our two dogs, maintaining a vegetable and herb garden, hiking, cooking, and computers.
