Note: Students can count a course from a second major or other area of interest as an elective for the gerontology major. Some examples are: KNH 471 Sport, Leisure and Aging or PHL 375 Medical Ethics

Note: Gerontology majors are required to take at least one 400 level gerontology course in addition to GTY 440R OR GTY 440P. 

Students seeking the Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology meet the College of Arts and Science writing in their major requirement by completing GTY 318 and the GTY Capstone (GTY 440R OR GTY 440P).
