photo of Maria P. VitulloMaria P. Vitullo, Esq. serves as the Director of the Henry Pre-Law Center. She obtained a B.A. from The University of Michigan in 1997, and graduated from The University of Wisconsin Law School in 2000, where she was Managing Editor of The Wisconsin Law Review and a member of the ABA Moot Court Team. Prior to joining Miami, Ms. Vitullo practiced at law firms in Chicago, New York State, and Cincinnati, focusing her practice in business litigation and labor and employment litigation. Ms. Vitullo was twice named an Ohio Rising Star in Cincinnati Magazine for business litigation, and is a member of the bar in Ohio, Illinois and New York.


photo of Elizabeth ZimmermanElizabeth Zimmerman serves as a Pre-law Advisor. She obtained a B.A. in Economics From Case Western Reserve University in 1989 and a J.D. from CWRU School of Law in 1992. While attending law school she served as Topic Development Editor for the Journal of International Law. Prior to joining Miami, Elizabeth practiced law in Cincinnati and Cleveland, focusing on transactional business law and business planning. Additionally, she has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in business law and ethics. Elizabeth is an avid volunteer for local coaching and mentoring programs including Ohio Mock Trial.

LSAT Instructor

Jennifer Patterson, Esq. is an economic development specialist for the City of Monroe. She graduated from Miami University in 2002 and University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2005. From 2006-2009, Ms. Patterson served as an LSAT instructor for Kaplan Test Prep, as well as project manager for Miami University's Center for Public Management and Regional Affairs. She currently is the instructor for the Henry Pre-Law Center's LSAT Preparation course.

Faculty Pre-Law Advisors

First- and second-year students are encouraged to meet with the faculty pre-law advisor in their major early in their undergraduate careers. Faculty pre-law advisors can assist students in determining their course of study with an eye toward law school, and provide students with general information about the law school admissions process.
