RCGS Symposium

The theme of the recent Race, Class, Gender, and Sexuality Symposium (held February 27, 2015) was Coalitions In Crisis: Intersectional Formations in a Neoliberal Era.

The keynote speaker was Juana María Rodríguez, Professor of Gender & Women's Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. She is one of the founding members of the Haas Institute's Center for a Fair and Inclusive Society's LGBTQ Citizen Cluster, and currently serves on the President's Advisory Council on LGBT Students, Faculty & Staff for the University of California.

    Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

    The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGS) is is a dynamic, interdisciplinary program in the College of Arts and Science that investigates how our lives are affected by gender race, class, age, sexuality, religion, (dis)ability, gender identity, and nationality. Both a WGS major and minor are available to undergraduate students. The WGS program also offers 2 thematic sequences and a graduate concentration.
