AP and Transfer Credit
81% of ID students receive AP or transfer credit from other institutions.[1]
Second Major and Minor Areas of Study
While few students have second majors (5%), nearly a third of 2013/14 ID students (32%) had at least one minor field of study, including 2-D Media Studies, 3-D Media Studies, American Literature, Arts Management, Community-Based Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Family Relationships, Fashion Design, General Business, Global Perspectives on Sustainability, History, Italian, Management, Management and Leadership, and Marketing.
Design-Related Internship Experience
Many of our students participate in interior design- and architecture-related summer or other internships while a student in the ID Program.
- 46% of the May 2014 graduating class and 47% of the 2013 graduates had one or more internships by the time they graduated.[2] Some of the employing firms include:

71% of recent 2013 graduates participated in off-campus and abroad experiences during their time at Miami, including programs in Ghana, Italy, and London[3]
