Job Placement Rates. 17% of students in the 4th-Year Interior Design class began their in full-time, professional jobs in a field related to interior design and architecture in the same month they graduated.

  • 67% of the 2015 graduates secured employment within 1 months of their graduation
  • 100% of the 2015 graduates secured employment within 3 months of their graduation
  • As of May 2017, 100% of the 2015 graduating class are working in full-time, professional positions related to interior design and architecture.

Acceptance into Graduate Programs. 100% of students from the 2015 graduating class who applied to graduate school were accepted.

Retention/Attrition

  • Fourth-Year ID Class: 86% of the students in the 2014/15 Fourth-Year ID Class continued from the previous third year (86% retention/14% attrition rate)

- One student transferred to another program at Miami University to accelerate date to graduation

  • Third-Year ID Class: 93% of the students in the 2014/15 Third-Year ID Class continued from the previous second year (93% retention/7% attrition rate).

- One student transferred to another program at Miami University

  • Second-Year ID Class: 83% of the students in the 2014/15 Second-Year Class continued from the previous first year (83% retention rate/17% attrition rate)

- Two students transferred into the Architecture Program within our department 

Graduation Rates. 100% of the 2014/15 Fourth-Year Interior Design class was awarded a BFA in interior design. Other related statistics for the 2014/15 Fourth-Year ID class:

  • 92% of the graduates earned their degree within 4 years of declaring the Interior Design major
  • The other 8% earned their degree with an extra semester of work (graduating in December 2014)
