The Choraliers hold candles and music folders in a darkened room during their annual performance of Britten Ceremony of Carols

The Miami University Choraliers recently celebrated 100 years of women's choral music at Miami University. Conducted by William Bausano, the group was established in 1908 as the Miami University Women's Choral Society. The ensemble has grown from an informal, 25-member society into a premier women's chorus composed of singers representing majors from every division in the university.

In February 2014 the Choraliers presented the world premiere performance of a new work composed by Ola Gjeilo, a musical setting of a text written in the Myaamia language. In the past ten years the Choraliers have toured to Australia, Fiji, Greece, Ireland, Italy, and Scotland. In May 2014 they toured Italy and Austria.

During the first week of classes, ensemble members are at informational tables in the Armstrong Student Center to sign students up for audition times and to answer questions about the ensembles.
