Minor Auditions
October 3-4, 2017
Sign up for auditions:
1) Fill out the questionnaire on this site, and
2) Register for your audition times on the Music Theatre Minor board, adjacent to 144 CPA

Dance Auditions
Tuesday Oct. 3, 5:30 – 10:00 pm
Dance Studio in Phillips Hall
Sign up for one 1.5 hour time slot.

Voice Auditions
Wednesday Oct 4, 5:30 – 10:00 pm
Presser Hall, Room 008.
Sign up for one 10 minute slot for your vocal/acting audition.

Orientation Meeting
Tuesday October 17, 6:00 – 6:50 pm

Curtain up! Light the Lights!

Strengthen your skills as a "triple threat" with the Music Theatre minor in the College of Creative Arts. Whether you love Broadway musicals, opera, or revues, here's your chance to creatively enhance the coursework of your major. Minors take courses in acting, singing and dancing, with opportunities to practice those skills through multiple performance experiences within the College of Creative Arts, including musicals, opera, cabarets and song and dance revues.

Program Requirements

20 - 23 Semester Hours

  • The minor is open to students of all majors.
  • Admission is by live audition only.
  • To continue in the Music Theatre minor, students must show progress of meeting the requirements of their major.
  • All courses in the minor must be taken for a grade.

Audition Information

  • Between 12 and 20 students will be admitted, depending on the needs of the program
  • Students may audition in their freshman or sophomore year, performing two vocal selections, a monologue, and a dance audition.
  • Auditions will be held each fall semester.
  • Live auditions are required.
