Experimental 'Open Source' Exhibition Features Miami Art Professors

Open Source logo, formed of overlapping squares and circles in orange and grayThe Carnegie in Covington, Kentucky opens its fall exhibition Open Source 1.1 on Friday, Sept. 7. In a new exhibition model for The Carnegie, a team of guest curators engaged with artists from the region to present objects and installations that will evolve over the course of the 2018-2019 season.

Miami Art Professor Annie Dell'Aria is one of the guest curators, and Professors Joomi Chung and Rod Northcutt have artwork in the exhibition.

Friday's event includes a reception from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. featuring work selected by the guest curators. A discussion with Gallery Director Matt Distel will take place at 6:00 p.m.

After the opening reception, exhibition gallery hours are Wednesday–Saturday, noon–5 p.m.
