A recital in honor of music emeritus professor, Adon Foster
adon_foster.jpgA recital honoring the memory of Adon Foster, emeritus professor of music will be performed on Sunday, January 17th at 3 p.m. in Souers Recital Hall in the Center for Performing Arts with Associate Professor and violinist, Harvey Thurmer and Bruce Murray, pianist and Music Department Chair at Miami.

Scholarship Honors musician, teacher, and beloved man
Adon Foster, a professor emeritus of music at Miami University and accomplished violinist, died in 2014 at the age of 94. In his memory, Kay, his wife of more than 30 years, made a gift permanently endowing the Adon Foster Scholarship in support of Miami music students.

Miami architecture students to learn from area's first "passive house"
Miami University architecture students will soon get a lesson in energy-efficient "passive house" design and construction from the ground up — literally. Mary Rogero, Miami's interim chair and associate professor of architecture and interior design, is the architect on what is believed to be the area's first "passive house." The privately owned home is being built on a wooded lot in Oxford Township near Hueston Woods State Park.

Miami Art Professor Receives PAAM Grant
Dana Saulnier, Professor of Art at Miami, was recently announced a winner of a 2015 Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Foundation Grant administered by the Provincetown Art Association and Museum.
