Greg Van Kirk (’91) is a globally recognized social entrepreneur. He is an Ashoka Lemelson Fellow, Ashoka Globalizer and has been recognized by the World Economic Forum as “Social Entrepreneur of the Year”.

He is a recipient of the Bishop Medal. He is the co-founder of The New Development Solutions Group, whose mission is to design and implement social innovations that solve long-standing challenges in marginalized developing world communities. Greg's signature social innovation was the creation of the award-winning MicroConsignment Model.

He has served as a consultant for organizations such as Levi Strauss Foundation, The World Bank, USAID, VisionSpring, Soros Foundation, Church World Service, and the Inter American Development Bank in the US, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Africa. He has taught social entrepreneurship at Columbia University, NYU Wagner and Miami University. Greg began working in rural small business development as a Guatemala Peace Corps volunteer in 2001. Prior to the Peace Corps, Greg worked in investment banking in San Francisco and New York. Two deals he led at UBS during this time won "Deal of the Year" honors from Structured Finance International magazine.

Greg lives with his family in New York City.
