'Gang of Seven' Heads to University of McGill

Students examining circuits at McGill

January 12th

Jacob: Ottawa, Ontario

10:00 A.M. - We started our day with a breakfast at our hotel.

10:34 A.M. - We departed the hotel and walked through the city to visit the University of McGill. While we were there, we received a tour of the electrical engineering department and optics labs from Dr. Warren Gross and some Ph.D. students.

2:00 P.M. - Dr. Gross recommended and joined us for lunch at Schwartz.  Schwartz was a restaurant with only item worth ordering, Montreal smoked meat.

3:00 P.M. - Next, we wandered a mall and then we stopped at Paysanne for gelato while discussing the dimensions in our universe.

6:30 P.M. - It was a Sunday night and we were searching the shopping district for dinner, and our quest lead us to many closed restaurants.  However, we ended up finding a small diner where the adventurous had another order of Poutine and the rest had hamburgers or hot dogs.

8:00 P.M. - We are all staying in for the night to get a good night rest for our early departure in the morning.

It was nice to meet you Montreal, now off to Quebec City!
