Photo of Bradley WhiteBradley White is a Miami University graduate who was recently named a 2014 Honoree of “18 of the Last 9.” He received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science (Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management) in 2007.

“18 Of the Last 9” aims to recognize 18 outstanding young alumni who have graduated in the last nine years, bring them back to campus, and connect them with students, staff, and faculty.

After graduating, Brad became the director of production control and logistics for Textron Aviation, the leading authority within the general aviation industry. In this role, Brad manages all aspects of Textron Aviation’s production control departments, supporting component manufacturing and aircraft assembly.

He leads an organization of nearly 300 employees and 300 contractors across all of Textron Aviation’s global manufacturing facilities, managing and controlling approximately $2.3 billion in inventory.

“Studying engineering has established a great educational foundation for me.  It has taught me to think critically, solve problems, and overall has provided me with a solid understanding of how parts and products are manufactured,” said Brad.

While at Miami, his favorite place to study on campus was the Kreger Hall engineering Lab. “[It] was like a second home to me. I had the benefit of working as the lab monitor, which was perhaps the best campus job ever,” he said.

Brad was chosen from over 120 nominees to receive this award. The common thread among the 18 individuals chosen is they are living out the values inherent in a Miami education. Be sure to congratulate Brad on social media using the hashtag #18of9.
