28th Annual High School Programming Contest

Miami University's Computer Science and Software Engineering Department (CSE) is presenting their 28th Annual High School Programming Contest (HSPC) on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Miami University's Oxford campus. Each year almost 100 high school students participate in the contest.

Teams are comprised of four or less students and are given an eight-question problem set. Each team is assigned a computer in the CSE Microcomputer Lab, andknowledge of the use of input and output is necessary to participate. All programs are judged using file input and console output.

Over 1,000 students have participated in the contest since its inception in 1987. High school students from the Cincinnati area thoroughly enjoy the competition, some even participate multiple years in a row and later become Miami University students.
