Tailgate with the MME Department!

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will be hosting football tailgates for every home game this fall season and invite students, faculty, and alumni to join them.

Alexis Ehrlich, ASME president, wanted to give her club members an opportunity to interact with alumni, and found that tailgating would allow for this in a fun environment.

“I think it would be a great opportunity to not only raise some school spirit, but also interact with alumni and faculty on a more casual basis,” said Alexis.

Other student organizations within the department are also invited to attend, including Baja, Formula SAE, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA.)

Alexis believes that staying connected to alumni is a huge advantage for all students regardless of their year in school, because internships and establishing professional connections are key to exploring the field and discovering your interests.

All CEC alumni are invited to attend these tailgating sessions. If any are interested in guest speaking for ASME, they can contact Alexis at
