Join the ACM Integrity Project

ACM logoThe Association for Computing Machinery recently created the Integrity Project, which is a 2-year project to promote ethics in computing professions using modern media. They're asking members of the ACM community to promote ethics through YouTube videos, podcasts, and all forms of social media.

Dr. Bo Brinkman kicks off the conversation with a video titled "Why everyone in tech should care about codes of ethics" featured on the Integrity Project's YouTube channel. The Committee on Professional Ethics is asking for topic ideas, videos, and online stories concerning computing ethics. They even want to answer your questions with the "Ask an Ethicist" advice column.

The topic of ethics in computing professions is discussed in many courses in the College of Engineering and Computing, but the discussion shouldn't end there. The Integrity Project offers students a great way to continue expanding their knowledge and understanding of ethics in a media oriented way.
