Ceremony Instructions

On Saturday, May 11, all degree candidates are to report to Yager Stadium, in their academic attire*, no later than 12:30 p.m. When you arrive, look for signs directing you to your divisional lineup areas. Faculty marshals will line up candidates in the assigned areas:

The procession will start promptly at 1:30 p.m. Faculty marshals will lead the processional into the stadium and direct candidates to seating. (For a seating diagram, see our parking and seating map, PDF 631KB.)

Degrees will be conferred in the following order: master's and specialist, doctoral, ROTC candidates**, baccalaureate and associate's by division (Regional Campus Bachelor of Integrative Studies, School of Engineering and Applied Science; School of Creative Arts; Farmer School of Business; School of Education, Health, and Society; College of Arts and Science). Only the doctoral and master's and specialists candidates will cross the stage.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, only the platform party will recess out of the stadium; the candidates will remain on the field.

* Until degrees are conferred, the tassel is worn on the right side of the cap.
** These individuals will receive special instructions from their units.
