Building Learning Communities Online

One of the more critical issues in moving post-secondary teaching and learning online is how to preserve the interactions through which knowledge is developed. The Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework for understanding and fostering learning online will be described in terms of each of the components of the CoI model-social, teaching, and cognitive presence.
